Amazing quiet luxury to return to after a day of exploring in the Cotswolds. Parking was easy and our room was splendid. The bathroom has great products and was always immaculately clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The grounds are divinely interesting and beautifully maintained. Breakfasts were amazing and fresh. Best Benedict’s ever because of the Hollandaise sauce. The fruit options for breakfast were fresh. The vegetarian English breakfast was wonderful. Sunday lunch was definitely a highlight and we loved the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Would definitely return as this was a memorable relaxed sense of country elegance and refinement without any pretension

Incredible experience this past weekend. We booked a stay that included a lovely room for one night, three course dinner, and cooked breakfast the next day. The room was so clean and well lit with comfortable furnishings. The food was amazing! Will definitely be back.

Lovely, A+ stay here over the holidays, we’ll be back! Shoutout to Carl for his humor and making us feel welcome, he even helped get us better seating for afternoon tea when we were unhappy with a prior seating arrangement. The hotel is decorated so tastefully and is like an art museum, but with great food and service. The dining experience at the Atrium for our anniversary dinner, as well as the general restaurant, was phenomenal. Only thing that was frustrating was that the bathroom lights were way too harsh / not warm whites. Hope that changes next time!

Practically perfect in every way. My girlfriend (who became my fiancé during our stay) stayed at Lords of the Manor in December 2024. I had a number of special requests which the team were only too happy to accommodate. We stayed during Storm Darragh which unfortunately led to a 24h powercut during our stay. The staff were wonderful, and did everything they could to ensure we were safe and comfortable despite the lack of power. Leona and I look forward to visiting again!

They went out of their way to find a space for us, and we had a blast drinking great tea, eating delicious scones, and playing Jenga. Makes a really nice destination for a walk from Lower Slaughter.

Exceeded all expectations! We booked all rooms at the hotel for our wedding day, which with thanks to all staff at The Lords was perfect in every possible way. From wonderful front of house staff, through to very talented chefs and house-keeping staff (who made all rooms up so beautifully!), we could not fault the truly exceptional service. We would highly recommend this venue as a place to stay, dine, and indeed book for weddings. Hanna, our event manager, planned our day, which was seamless from start to end. Carl looked after us on the day, and his warmth, humour and professionalism is simply outstanding. And what Carl doesn't know about fine wine and dining, - probably isn't worth knowing! Thank you to all staff at the Lords for a truly faultless and exceptional stay!

4 of us called in a lunchtime, part way through a 6-mile walk. Even though they don't usually serve lunch on Mondays, we were welcomed in by a lovely, friendly receptionist who provided slippers for us as we had muddy boots, & we were served the most delicious lunch in the lounge. Fabulous food, great service & beautiful setting & grounds.

After much research chose Upper Slaughter and the Lords of the Manner for our trip to the Cotswolds. It was a spectacular choice. Not only is Upper Slaughter peaceful, serene, and stunningly beautiful, the staff at Lords of the Manner could not have been more gracious and attentive. The food was excellent, and cream tea, or a drink, out on the lawn (we were so fortunate to have gorgeous weather) is a treat not to be missed. Did I mention staff? Incredible, low key, and oh so incredibly nice at every turn. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose Lords of the Manner in Upper Slaughter

+. Beautiful idyllic hotel in a stunning location. The gardens especially are very beautiful. -. There was no bread at the breakfast buffet. We’ve asked the waitress twice for toast and did not get it. So just started to eat our breakfast without as it was getting too cold. We expected better service so that was a bit disappointing. Price for breakfast for two people including service charge was 56 pounds.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Lords of the Manor. Hotel is lovely, very relaxed atmosphere & the staff are so friendly. Special mentions to Hannah & Paul on front desk and Andy at the bar (he makes a great martini!). Room was really nice. If you need a taxi anywhere make sure to book in advance as they are like gold dust! We used Jay in Stow, he is great. Cotswolds area is fabulous.

Absolute delightful. Beautiful place. We stayed four nights and explored the area. The staff from reception to dining room to housekeeping were superb, welcoming, professional and helpful. The restaurant was the best in the area and beyond with lovely food and helpful staff. We were advised on local places to visit together with times and were never disappointed. Will definitely bring the family back as it felt like a home away from home Thank you to everyone for making the trip perfect. Trish

We came to dine for the evening, the hotel is in a beautiful location but we knew that having been before. We were greeted with welcoming staff who settled us in for our meal. The meal itself was average really and although ‘fine dining’ you appreciate is small portions we weren’t full in the slightest. Comparable to other fine dining experiences the food didn’t marry up with the cost. Specifically the chicken breast I had. We finished with a walk around the grounds at dusk that is lovely.

Lovely gardens and decor. We came for Sunday lunch and had three courses. All of them were excellent. Service was friendly and well timed. Cod was excellent as was the beef. Cauliflower cheese on the side was perfect too. The tomato and pineapple gazpacho starter was well balanced and delicious. The desserts were beautifully presented and also matched that in flavour and textures.

We had the absolute best time staying here for our honeymoon with our dog. The service was fantastic - all of the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely with special treats and a bed laid out for the dog who was spoiled the whole time. And the food....oh my goodness. I could live there for the food! We had the full breakfast every day (and the dog got a breakfast sausage), exceptional afternoon tea, the bar menu sandwiches were delicious. We ate in The Dining Room one night and had the tasting menu in The Atrium another night. The location is so idyllic. The grounds and gardens are beautiful situation in a dreamy little village, and its a short walk along the River Eye into Lower Slaughter. All was absolutely 10/10 exceptional food and service. Will definitely be back!!!

Updated: Expect to get no food in a restaurant if you’re 8 minutes late for reservation. Even if the restaurant is empty My reply to OWNER: Your concierge LIED to you. When we ordered a table I offered to pay for food in advance and asked to serve it at 19.10 (watch your cameras)- very polite concierge said - please come without payment, we are not busy, we want food to be hot on a table, fair play to him. When we came 19.18 , he became so busy, just 2 people in restaurant!!! Ask your concierge REAL REASON why it’s happened. You will never write it here. Ps: we wrote 2 reviews, as you made 3 people HUNGRY and a bit shocked….
